Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Years had been lost. I felt that Ben was slipping in over the sill of language just before the window was slammed shut.
p 72 Saving Ben A Father's Story of Autism by Dan E. Burns
This sounds interesting. I've read a couple of books lately that touch on autism, and went to a training this summer for people who might be interested in working with autistic kids. I was intrigued to learn that kids who aren't talking were called "pre-verbal," as opposed to non-verbal. The current thought seems to be that there's great hope for people with autism to gain more skills. It's a fascinating area where researchers seem to be continuing to learn more. Thanks for sharing your teaser.
